[Matroska-users] .mkv movie

I was trying to burn a .mkv file to a disk to view on a dvd player/tv.

Although the file can be seen on idvd or VLC with subtitles, they disappear when converting to .avi and with the idvd they burn in a way that the subtitles are on a separate black page between the scenes of the movie instead of in synch with it.

The subtitles are obviously in the package but I cannot find any way to burn the complete .mkv file so that the subtitles appear in synch with the movie...can you please help?

With kind regards
