As you can easily test yourself, the VBR header remains as it is.
It would not be that bad if players/dsfilters etc know how to handle it,
but usually they don't. Besides, even if a specific player knows it, 
that means the timing is player-specific, not very ideal.

You might want to use the -t switch when you use lame, to disable the 
VBR header.
