[Matroska-users] don't play mkv file 431MB

Try VLC player from www.videolan.org in Linux version and report here if 
the problem persists. Most likely the MKV support in mplayer is not as 
good as it should be. If VLC plays the file, please send this bugreport 
to mplayer lists instead.
