I *think* it will replace them. It's always worth testing. What do  
you have to lose? A few hundred megabytes to a couple of gigabytes of  
storage, temporarily?

As far as I'm aware, such a question hasn't come up before. If you  
figure out the solution, please reply so that it shows up in the  
archives, and anyone else with this problem can find out what you did.
