Well, can you be more specific as to which media players? Media  
Player Classic uses the Windows Centralized Codec Commissar, where as  
VLC uses its own codecs. If we knew you used VLC, then we could rule  
out a malfunctioning Windows Media system as the culprit, and so forth.
