I've implemented such an option yesterday. It's called '--dump-splitpoints'.

It's possible but tedious. '--dump-splitpoints' will be a lot easier to use.

That's interesting. I'll have to investigate this further 'cause in the
quick tests I've made yesterday it did what I told it to.
