[Matroska-general] To Whom It May Concern

I have a HP Pavilion notebook running Windows XP SP2. It is a 1.86GHz AMD with 448MB of RAM.

That being said, whenever I try to watch a .MKV file, the processor/fan go into overdrive to play the file. I'm afraid of overheating my poor notebook just trying to watch a movie file. Why is this happening and is there anything I can do so my processor doesn't overload?
