Softwares like MediaInfo (http://mediainfo.sf.net) or G-Spot
(http://www.google.fr/url?sa=U&start=1&q=http://www.headbands.com/gspot)
are done for this kind of problem : if you want a codec, you have only
one click on the file, and you have an URL for downloading the codec.
No problem of virus or malware, because of user interaction.
