I've changed this. The specs say:

  <subtitle                                   +-subtitle    (1..N)
    start="hh:mm:ss.mmm"                        @-start     (1)
    stop="hh:mm:ss.mmm"                         @-stop      (0..1)
    duration="hh:mm:ss.mmm">                    @-duration  (0..1)

So stripping the complete <subtitle> ... </subtitle> tag seems the
logical choice.

An updated build that strips this tag is available at
