<br/> is perfectly valid though.  I have told Christian to go ahead and make 
the changes to the news and that I, or someone else, would gladly make it 
compliant.  The sad truth is that if he doesn't make the changes, the 
website's content will likely never get updated.  For me, the small amount 
of time needed to fix the pages is worth it.
