Dcoder, i fear you are right. matroska development, IMO, will 
significantly slow down because of TCME, and i am the one to blame. 
However, i am convinced that its the right thing to do, and that 
matroska will only have a chance to 'survive' against MP4 and others 
with a decent editor support. Naturally, this editor should be capable 
to handle MP4 and other containers also. But this way we make sure that 
matroska will always be an option in 'the next generation Virtualdub' ;) 
....
