I think that it is clear that everyone is simply looking for the easiest way to
accomplish the goals.  To use GStreamer, it must first be ported to Win32.  If
that can be done, then it is possible.  There are also some other already-free
non-linear editors that have been mentioned.  These need to be looked at to see
if they could be ported to Win32.  Whatever is easiest.
