[Matroska-users] [wishlist] split by chapters in MMG

I would think this is much harder than it sounds. Splitting would be have to
be aware of the container and different containers are split in very differ
different ways. An AVC container is split very differently than an AC3 file
and many cannot be split at the same location without re-encoding at least
portions. I think this would go way beyond what mmg could do.
