Whilst this may be true for disc type players, surely you are aware of Western Digital's WDTV, and other Media Players from Popcorn Hour, which utilise hard drives for digital playback? They both support .mkv playback. I'm sure there are others... The real benefit of using MPC:HC is that you may be able to use DXVA (read the wikipedia entry on that :)), which allows 3d-hardware accelerated video playback if the video has the correct parameters and you're using a DXVA compliant graphics card with current drivers. This can make 720p and 1080p content playable even on "weak" CPUs. regards, Christoph From alex_gofman at ukr.net Thu Feb 26 08:38:53 2009 From: alex_gofman at ukr.net (Alex Gofman) Date: Thu, 26 Feb 2009 09:38:53 +0200 Subject: [Matroska-general] MatroskaProp Message-ID: <038401c997e5$468f9650$aa01250a@zp.treasury.gov.ua> Hi! At least elementary separation of good chunks and bad chunks and syncronize good chunks after separation. Where is it? For example, I'm hardly download file with 1,5 Gb size and can't see. mkvextract extract only 1,5 Megabytes of first stream. Haali Media Splitter don't solve bad chunk problem.
