A portable HDD that can play :

MPEG-1, MPEG-2 (ISO, AVI, VOB), MPEG-4 (AVI, DivX, XviD), WAV, MP3, AAC, 
WMA, AC3. It's relatively cheap considering that you can put many DVDs 
in there and take it with you everywhere. Plus the video output uses an 
HDMI connector (digital).
