Hi everyone,
The organizers of GUADEC this year got a venue that was bigger than what
was needed for the planned GNOME related activities, so I was allowed to
add a general multimedia track to the list of talks normally presented
at GUADEC. So after working to get the speakers in place I am now ready
to announce the multimedia track.

The track will focus on Open Source and Free Software Multimedia in
general and most of the talks featured are not GNOME specific at all.
So I invite all members of the Free and Open Source multimedia
communities to attend GUADEC this year to enjoy the multimedia track.

Featured talkers include Ralph Giles from Xiph.org, Conrad Parker from
CSIRO talking about Annodex, Thomas Davies from the BBC talking about
Dirac, Wim Taymans from Fluendo talking about GStreamer and many more.

Jory,

I have tested the new matroskaprop and it immediately fixed a severe bug 
for handling wavpack hybrid MKA files on my machine. 2.7 had a mem leak 
that would make explorer eat about 20 MB memory per second, so unless 
you have a HUGE RAM your machine would literally be unresponsive in less 
than one minute. new Version fixes this bug, and will even show the 
correct codec ID, file details and attachement for the questionable file.

Great job !! Another big and important step towards a new pack

Hi,

That would be nice, but most of the time no. In matroska you usually 
find MPEG4 or RealVideo with text subtitles. None can be read easily on 
DVD players (those that can play DivX could read some of these). So you 
need to reencode the video anyway to be usable on a DVD player.

make sure... Hmmm...

I'd tryied to rename the quesitoned file (Windows NT usually allowes 
this, but Win95 line does not) to, say, CoreVorbis.ax.old

If rename would fail - unregister this filter before reboot, so even 
soem MM program would try to load it - it will fail.
Either from command line (regsvr32 -u CoreVorbis.ax) or using RadLight 
Filter Manager

	file to mmg caused mmg to think that the file identification

	posix_fadvise is silently switched off for that file. Fixes

	* mkvmerge: bug fix: Appending files that were created with
	mkvmerge's "--link" option was broken. The timecodes for both the
	chapters and the actual media data blocks were not adjusted
	correctly. Fixes Anthill bugs 115 and 116.

	* mkvmerge: bug fix: If chapters are present in several appended
	files and there were atoms who shared the same UID then those
	entries were present multiple times in the output files. Now such
