[Matroska-devel] Audio channel mapping / Ambisonics

I wonder if Matroska would be a viable container format for Ambisonics
audio (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ambisonics for further
details).

I read through the specs and the only part that seems related to
channel mapping is the ChannelPositions element. As it is grayed out,
I assume it is not used and still unspecified.

Are you interested in adding channel mapping for audio tracks to
Matroska? I could work on a proposal, if there is enough interest.
