Its great to actually hear from the GStreamer people. ChistianHJW had said
he had made contact with your group, but there hadn't been any information
come our way.
I am truly interested in having a cross-platform all-in-one interface for
applications, codecs, and containers that supports both encoding and
decoding. If UCI only provided a common API for the codecs, that is fine.
But what exactly does GStreamer provide? Is it cross-platform? Does it off
a standardized set of API's for both applications and containers, or just
applications? If it isn't, could it be made cross-platform? Could the API
be extended? What all can it offer?
